Energize Capital

Energize Capital is a Chicago investment firm backing asset-light technologies for the energy transition, industrial digitization, decarbonization and critical infrastructure. Its Ventures strategy backs Series A, B and C software and digital businesses, including AI forecasting, energy-storage optimization, computer vision and cybersecurity. Its Endurance strategy invests in mature, profitable software and services companies through control and minority transactions. Energize EDGE provides portfolio services in commercialization, finance and operations, impact, communications and people. The current firm history identifies establishment in 2017 with Invenergy; older announcements describe a 2016 strategy launch, so those dates are distinct. Formerly Energize Ventures, it adopted the Energize Capital name in July 2023. Verified closed Ventures funds are USD165M in 2018, USD330M in September 2021, and USD430M in June 2025 across Fund III and related vehicles. The July 2023 announcement reports USD300M across both growth funds, not a USD300M individual Fund II. Current platform scale and historic AUM are not additional fund closes.
