Investment-fund research reviewed 2026-10-06. Publicly identified funds, dates, amounts and fundraising status are below. Undisclosed commitments remain unknown; this is not a complete register of private SPVs or parallel entities.
Fund size, vintages and stage mandate
| Fund | Amount and status | Date / evidence | Caveat |
|---|---|---|---|
| Environmental Technologies Fund IV | **€285m completed fundraising**, exceeding €250m target | [Official announcement, 21 May 2024](https://etfpartners.capital/articles/etf-partners-announces-oversubscribed-fourth-fund/ ) | Individual fund commitments, not AUM or a check size. The announcement says initial portfolio companies had significant revenue. |
| Environmental Technologies Fund 3 L.P. | **£167m close**; British Patient Capital's commitment was £20m | [British Business Bank / BPC announcement, 10 July 2020](https://www.british-business-bank.co.uk/news-and-events/news/british-patient-capital-makes-20m-cornerstone-commitment-to-etf-partners-latest-fund ) | Do not substitute the LP's £20m commitment for fund size. Announcement date is a close date, not necessarily the vehicle's establishment year. |
| First fund | **Over £100m**, according to the firm's retrospective | [Official anniversary briefing, July 2025 URL](https://etfpartners.capital/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/ETF-Partners-20th-Anniversary-The-Intelligence-Layer.pdf ) | Retrospective rounded amount; exact final close date and legal fund name not confirmed here. |
| Second fund | Amount not verified | Same retrospective says it was being raised in 2012 | Do not derive a size from unrelated ETF/exchange-traded-product or Xfund search results. |
A search for a fifth fund/Fund V and newer fund announcements did not locate a verified later close. **Fund IV is latest-known**, not a guarantee that no later vehicle exists. Current AUM, remaining deployable capital, minimum/maximum checks and ownership targets were not independently established.
The strongest recent stage evidence is [ETF's Lucy Rands podcast article, 23 July 2026](https://etfpartners.capital/articles/lucy-rands-on-how-to-align-massive-impact-with-venture-capital-returns/ ), which explicitly describes growth businesses at **Series A to C** and discusses defensible vertical AI and quantum risk. The BPC 2020 announcement supports **Series A and beyond**, with capital for multiple rounds. Current strategy therefore should not be reduced to a seed-only mandate from directories, nor equated with every historical participation stage. Geographic emphasis is Europe; Fund IV backs growing innovative companies with positive environmental impact, per the official close announcement.

| **Gen Phoenix / Generation Phoenix**, formerly ELeather | Engineered materials made by converting waste leather fibers into new sheet material; circular-materials process innovation | Official ETF portfolio confirms **first investment May 2014** | [Official ETF company page, undated](https://etfpartners.capital/company/genphoenix/ ). Exact first-round amount not established. ETF participation in the snapshot's $18m 2023/2026 rows is not verified by this first-investment evidence. |
For Look Up, [European Space Policy Institute's June 2025 Insights, PDF dated by July 2025 URL](https://www.espi.or.at/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/ESPI-Insights-Issue-June-2025-1.pdf ) reports **€24m equity and €15m EU non-dilutive financing**, with the remainder debt. This provides a useful breakdown consistent with the company's blended-financing description; later Adex review should preserve these components rather than collapsing them into one equity round.
Other snapshot companies, including Worldsensing, Basemark, Cloud&Heat, Cubbit and DeepSea, warrant further transaction-level review. They are not necessary to establish the verified deep-tech track record above. Ordinary mobility, food redistribution, traceability and logistics SaaS entries should not automatically receive a deep-tech classification merely because ETF invests in them.
## Neurotech finding and attribution boundary
**No verified neurotech investment found in the sources checked.** Sources checked included the snapshot investments, [ETF portfolio index](https://etfpartners.capital/companies/ ) (undated), relevant official company pages above, and searches combining ETF Partners with neurotech, neuroscience and brain. The checked portfolio evidence did not identify a brain-computer interface, neural recording, neural stimulation or other direct neural technology investment.
Quantum computing, AI, industrial sensors and satellites are not neurotech simply because they might support healthcare or analytics. BPC's reference to microbiome AI likewise does not establish neural technology. Searches also returned exchange-traded neuroscience funds and the unrelated NeuroTechnology Partners Fund: neither is this venture firm. No investments made by an ETF partner at a prior employer have been attributed to ETF in this file. The finding is limited by public portfolio coverage and search visibility.
## Conflicts, missing information and later Adex review
1. Keep **GoldiETFPartners** as the exact firm ID. The “Goldi” prefix does not change the independently verified firm identity.
2. Attach the official Fund IV source to the €285m May 2024 statement; distinguish €250m target, final fund size and AUM. Add the supported Series A–C strategy with its 2026 date.
3. Review the **2005 versus 2006 founding-year conflict** before modifying that field.
4. Correct or annotate Riverlane's company-announcement date: 6 August 2024 versus snapshot 5 August. Do not assume a publication difference proves the deal legally closed on either date.
5. Review potential company/round duplication for LookUp/Look Up Space, DeepSea/DeepSea Technologies, BASEMARK/Basemark Oy, Beams/Beams Renovation, Dexter Energy and Genphoenix. Look Up's total financing is blended; €24m equity is separately reported. Duplicate names alone are not proof of duplicate legal records.
6. The Genphoenix **25 August 2026 $18m** snapshot row may have a date/duplicate problem: [company-hosted press coverage, 4 April 2023](https://genphoenix.com/press/gen-phoenixs-upcycled-leather-woos-luxury-brand-investors/ ) identifies $18m growth financing in 2023, naming Material Impact and strategic investors. This source does not name ETF. Verify the 2026 row's cited Sustainable Times article and ETF's 2023 participation before retaining either as a separately verified transaction; this research does not prove the 2026 row false.
7. Snapshot role “Rafel Jorda Siquier — CEO of Open Cosmos” is attached to ETF Partners. That title identifies an investee executive and should not automatically be treated as ETF employment. Reconcile role affiliation against official team/company records.
8. Remaining gaps: exact first/second-fund closing details, Fund II size, current AUM, current check range, ownership goals, fund-level allocation and ETF contribution to individual rounds, and any undisclosed direct neurotech holdings. NFX's limited rendering prevents confirming its team/stage details.
These are research notes for a later reviewer. No MCP Patch, database update, commit or unrelated-file change was performed. SHOW MORE

ETF Partners, also called the Environmental Technologies Fund, is the London sustainability venture investor. Its latest verified fund close is Fund IV at **€285 million**, announced in May 2024. The current official stage description is **Series A–C growth businesses**. Its portfolio includes verified quantum computing, satellite engineering, radar, robotics, wireless connectivity and recycled-materials investments. **No verified neurotech investment found in the sources checked.** These conclusions describe the public evidence checked, rather than an exhaustive private investment history.
## Starting evidence and identity
The saved read-only Adex MCP snapshot, `data/research/_sources/GoldiETFPartners.adex.json`, retrieved 2026-10-06, contains the exact ID and London identity, a founded year of 2006, the €285 million May 2024 fund claim, blank check-size fields, 42 investment participation rows and a NFX Signal URL. Investment rows include duplicated or potentially overlapping names: LookUp/Look Up Space, DeepSea/DeepSea Technologies, BASEMARK/Basemark Oy, Beams/Beams Renovation, and multiple Dexter Energy and Genphoenix entries. Snapshot/Goldi claims are starting leads rather than independent verification.
[NFX Signal firm profile](https://signal.nfx.com/firms/the-environmental-technologies-fund-etf-partners ) was directly opened. The readable response identified “The Environmental Technologies Fund (ETF Partners)” and London, but only a team heading appeared, with no accessible people, stage, fund or check-size details. No numerical strategy claim is inferred from this incomplete rendering.
There is a **founding-year conflict**: Adex and 2024 reporting use 2006, while ETF's own 20th-anniversary document says the firm was founded in **2005**. The official retrospective is stronger evidence of the firm's account of its origin; a legal founding/launch distinction was not resolved. [Official anniversary briefing, July 2025 URL; exact publication day unspecified](https://etfpartners.capital/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/ETF-Partners-20th-Anniversary-The-Intelligence-Layer.pdf ).

## Verified previous deep-tech investments
“Deep tech” below is a research classification based on engineering/scientific substance, not a claim that every sustainability or software investment qualifies. Dollar/euro amounts are **total company financing**, not ETF's individual contribution. None of the checked announcements discloses ETF's own check or fund allocation for these rounds.
| Company | Technology and classification rationale | Verified ETF attribution, date and amount | Sources / limitations |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Riverlane** | Quantum error correction stack combining proprietary chips, hardware and software; clear scientific computing deep tech | Participant in **$75m Series C**, led by Planet First Partners; company release **6 August 2024** | [Official Riverlane release](https://www.riverlane.com/press-release/riverlane-raises-75-million-to-meet-surging-global-demand-for-quantum-error-correction-technology ). ETF's involvement is directly named. Snapshot date 5 August differs from this company publication date. |
| **Open Cosmos** | Designs, builds, launches and operates satellites, with Earth observation, telecommunications and navigation missions | Named among three leading impact investors in **$50m Series B**, **11 September 2023**, with Trill Impact and A&G | [Official company announcement](https://www.open-cosmos.com/news/open-cosmos-raises-50m-from-leading-impact-investors-to-grow-its-leadership-in-accessible-sustainable-space-tech-and-satellite-data?4e32589b_page=1 ). This supports firm investment; it is not ETF's entire $50m check. |
| **Look Up**, formerly Look Up Space | Ground radar network and real-time orbital analysis for space situational awareness and debris/collision detection | ETF **led the equity component** of June 2025 financing totaling **about €50m**, including equity, bank debt and non-dilutive public funding; classified Series A | [Company page published 12 June 2025, press text dated 11 June](https://www.lookupspace.com/fr/blog/look-up-obtient-un-financement-de-50-millions-deuros-pour-accelerer-son-deploiement-mondial ); [ETF announcement, 23 June 2025](https://etfpartners.capital/articles/etf-partners-leads-look-ups-e50-million-fundraising-round/ ). ETF's headline compresses the blended financing into a “round”; do not record €50m as all equity. |
| **Flyability** | Collision-tolerant indoor inspection drones with computer vision and LiDAR; robotics and sensor integration | Official portfolio page gives **first investment June 2016** | [Official ETF company page, undated](https://etfpartners.capital/company/flyability/ ); [ETF product article, 23 May 2022](https://etfpartners.capital/articles/elios-3-digitizing-the-inaccessible/ ). Round size at first investment not verified. Snapshot's 2020 Series C and 2022 $11m rows were not independently settled; do not repeat them as verified. |
| **Wirepas** | Decentralized mesh wireless connectivity, patented radio/network technology; enables industrial-scale IoT | Existing investor ETF participated in **$22m financing**, led by Highland Europe, **31 October 2023** | [Lead investor's official announcement](https://www.highlandeurope.com/wirepas-raises-22-million-to-build-low-cost-low-energy-scalable-iot-networks-for-global-enterprise/ ); [ETF confirmation, 3 November 2023](https://etfpartners.capital/articles/wirepas-raises-22-million-to-build-low-cost-low-energy-scalable-iot-networks-for-global-enterprise/ ).
