Sergey Stavisky
Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery at UC Davis and co-director of the UC Davis Neuroprosthetics Lab with David Brandman. A neuroscientist and neural engineer working across systems neuroscience, computation and AI, he develops implanted brain-computer interfaces to restore communication after paralysis. His work includes speech decoding and expressive voice synthesis for people with ALS, with longer-term interests in language disorders and high-channel-count neural interfaces.
