Sandeep has led, operated and invested in companies of all sizes in consumer technology and financial services across the United States, the United Kingdom, India and Asia-Pacific over two and a half decades. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, Sandeep is a partner and head of Asia-Pacific at QED Investors. He leads the firm’s investing activity across Asia-Pacific, backing fintech and technology founders who combine sharp market insight with the operational discipline required to build lasting institutions. He has invested more than $250 million across a high-conviction portfolio and serves on 10 boards. Before QED, Sandeep was CEO and Managing Director at Truecaller in India, a consumer technology platform with more than 250 million monthly active users. He grew revenue five-fold to more than $110 million in three years, brought the company to profitability and paved the way for its IPO on Nasdaq Stockholm at a multi-billion-dollar valuation. Earlier, at Flipkart, he scaled the fintech business to serve 1.3 million borrowers, ran the home and furniture division as P&L owner and, as group head of strategy, helped engineer a $4 billion fundraise and the $21 billion acquisition by Walmart. He began his career at Capital One, Actis Capital and McKinsey & Company across the United States and the United Kingdom. Sandeep holds an MBA from the London Business School and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India. Though an avid traveller, paragliding pilot and deep-sea diver, Sandeep’s most incredible adventures these days are with his two sons around Silicon Valley. ‍
