Rochelle Walensky
Chief Scientific and Policy Advisor to Madryn Asset Management. She previously directed the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2021 to 2023, leading public health infrastructure and agency modernization work. Earlier she led the Infectious Diseases Division at Massachusetts General Hospital and was a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Her manager biography also identifies a Carter Center board role; the Madryn role is an advisory position. Rochelle Walensky is an Isaac Health advisory-board member and a physician and public-health researcher. Harvard identifies her prior CDC leadership during2021–2023 and earlier leadership of infectious diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her training includes an MD from Johns Hopkins and an MPH from Harvard.
