Richard Gillingwater
Richard Gillingwater chairs Wellcome’s investment committee and is a governor of the foundation, appointed to the board on1September2019. His career has included establishing and leading UK Government Investments, chairing the UK development finance institution CDC, serving as dean of Cass Business School and chairing the Open University. His Wellcome affiliation is a governance appointment rather than a claim that he is an investment division employee.
