Philip (Phil) M.Young is a USVP senior advisor who joined in1990 after investing at Concord Partners. Earlier he led critical-care instrumentation company Oximetrix through its acquisition by Abbott, worked at New Court Securities and McKinsey, and served in Admiral Rickover’s atomic-energy program. His investing experience includes medical devices, biotechnology and software. He holds Cornell mechanical-engineering, George Washington engineering-physics and Harvard MBA degrees.
