Petri Vainio

Executive Chairman of EW Healthcare Partners and chair of its executive committee. He joined the firm in 2004 after twelve years as a Sierra Ventures general partner. His healthcare investing experience includes pharmaceutical and medical-device businesses, and his published board affiliations include Grundium and Laboratoires Majorelle. He earned medical and doctoral degrees in Helsinki and an MBA at Stanford.
