Paolo De Santis was appointed chief executive officer and general manager of Generali Welion effectiveJune1,2022, replacing Cesare Lai, according to the parent’s exactMay25,2022 announcement. At appointment he was already Chief Health & Welfare Officer of Generali Country Italia, with extensive group experience in insurance and health. Current company communications name Francesco Bardelli as CEO, so this Welion role is explicitly historical; the exact later succession day is not invented. A separate2019 primary organisational announcement had also named De Santis as Welion executive director during interim management.
