Nikitas Koutoupes
Insight Partners source, reviewed October 8, 2026: Nikitas joined Insight in 2001. He focuses on investments in application software, with particular interest in education technology, sales & marketing automation, construction and ecommerce. He co-founded Insight Onsite, the firm’s team of operations and strategy experts who help improve the performance of Insight’s portfolio companies. Nikitas' current portfolio includes 4M, Apiphany, Attentive.AI, CommerceIQ, Conga, Copado, Epignosis, LearnWorlds, Leapsome, Marigold, RapidSOS, Trunk Tools, and Versatile. His prior investments include Own (acquired by Salesforce) CloudCraze (acquired by Salesforce), Virgin Pulse (acquired by Marlin Equity), Capella University (IPO), Exact Target (IPO, acquired by Salesforce), eVestment (acquired by Nasdaq), Football Fanatics (acquired by GSI Commerce), Frontline (acquired by Thoma Bravo), Academic Partnerships (acquired by Vistria) and Greenfield Online (IPO, acquired by Microsoft). Prior to Insight, Nikitas co-founded CTSpace, a construction software company that became part of Insight’s portfolio. He started his career at McKinsey & Company, working on strategy, turnaround, M&A, and corporate finance engagements. Nikitas holds a BA from Princeton University (summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa), an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School and an MA in the Philosophical Foundations of Physics from Columbia University. He is an amateur photographer, snorkeler and cyclist (lower back permitting). He and his wife Zineb Guessous live in Manhattan, playing zone defense with their three children.
