Before joining HP, Niall was the global CIO and SVP at General Electric (GE) Power, where he led IT and operations to ensure the efficiency and security of GE’s vast information assets. This included supporting the separation of the GE conglomerate into three independent publicly traded companies. Throughout his time at GE, he served as the CIO of multiple organizations, including GE Power Service, GE Europe, and GE Gas Power Systems. Before joining GE, Niall worked at Alstom as VP of Information Systems. He holds an Electrical & Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology. Niall’s extensive experience in IT leadership for multi-billion globally distributed enterprises comes with a specialized skillset that aligns digital strategy with business objectives. His expertise includes multi-year global deployments, cost reductions designed to maintain high efficiency and operational standards, and building multicultural, cross-functional teams. Both inside and outside the workplace, Niall is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. He served as co-chair of GE’s Pride alliance for five years and has continued his advocacy through HP’s Pride Impact Network. He currently resides with his husband in Palo Alto, California.
