Mir Zayid Alam
Insight Partners source, reviewed October 8, 2026: Zayid joined Insight in 2025. Prior to joining Insight, Zayid worked on the software buyout and growth equity investment teams at PSG Equity and PeakSpan Capital. Prior to that, he helped build healthcare information technology startup Swellbox (now Datavant). Zayid graduated from Harvard College with a concentration in Neuroscience, while finding time for coursework in mathematics, history, creative writing and philosophy. While at Harvard, Zayid helped run the Harvard Independent, a local newspaper, and Harvard Student Agencies. Zayid also spent a few years teaching economics with Raj Chetty and Greg Bruich, and moonlit as a club and varsity athlete. In his free time, Zayid enjoys writing, gallery hopping, reading, and staying active.
