Mark Andries

Mark Andries has led VLAIO as administrator general since January1,2019. He holds a political and social sciences degree and worked at the University of Antwerp Centre for Social Policy from1991 to1997, joined the VEV research service in1997 and became deputy director in2001. He became Geert Bourgeois’s head of cabinet in2004 and served in the minister-president’s cabinet before his VLAIO appointment. He chairs VLAIO’s2026 Taftie presidency.
