Leighton Read

Leighton Read is an American physician, entrepreneur and venture investor who joined Brandon Capital in2015. He previously led Interhealth Partners and Alloy Ventures, founded Affymax’s pharmaceutical division and was founding investor, chair and CEO of Aviron and Avidia. His primary biography identifies Rice University and University of Texas medical education plus Duke/Brigham internal-medicine training. He transitioned from Global Kinetics executive chair to non-executive chair in May2023 and is named PKG Health chairman in the completed2025 acquisition announcement.
