Lee M. Miller

Professor at UC Davis and director of the Speech Neuroengineering and Cybernetics Lab. Studies speech perception, auditory attention and communication using EEG, fMRI and machine learning, with applications to hearing loss and speech restoration. Holds a joint UCSF/UC Berkeley PhD in bioengineering; joined UC Davis in 2004 after postdoctoral work in cognitive neuroimaging at Berkeley. His research includes brain-based hearing diagnostics and decoding facial-muscle signals to reconstruct speech.
