Laurent Berger

Laurent Berger is the current chair of Banque CIC Ouest, appointed April 23, 2025 after Hervé Bressan. Originally from Guérande and educated in history at Nantes, he served as CFDT general secretary from 2012 to 2023 and president of the European Trade Union Confederation from 2019 to 2023. He joined Crédit Mutuel Alliance Fédérale in September 2023 and has led its Institut Mutualiste pour l’Environnement et la Solidarité since March 2024. His regional-bank chairmanship is distinct from those group responsibilities and does not indicate a personal investment.
