She specializes in embedding company values and empowering leaders to drive team performance through a positive and impactful culture. Her career began with a focus on scientific rigor in a CDC-funded HIV prevention trial, followed by strategic planning for organizations in the social sector. This unique blend of experience led her to discover a passion for HR, which she pursued by leading the people function at her consulting firm. She then went on to serve as Head of HR at a mission-driven technology startup. Prior to joining Synapticure, Kathleen spent nine years at Twist Bioscience, where she helped guide the company through a period of immense growth from 150 to over 1,000 employees and its IPO. As a leader in HR operations and analytics, she built comprehensive talent management programs, including performance frameworks, culture, and total rewards, that established the company as a leading biotech employer.
