He leads the firm’s late-stage private and public markets investing strategy. Before joining Insight, John served as Head of Technology Investing and Portfolio Manager at Omega Advisors, where he managed a portfolio of high-conviction public technology investments. He subsequently launched C243 Capital, a spin-out from Omega, which served as the foundation for IPPE. John began his career as a technology entrepreneur before transitioning into investing. He discovered his passion for technology investing while playing professional baseball in the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets organizations. After exiting his internet startup, he held roles in Goldman Sachs’ TMT Investment Banking group and at Andor Capital, a technology-focused hedge fund. John earned his A.B. in Psychology from Harvard College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
