Joel Shoop serves as Chief Operating Officer. He is responsible for all financial and operational aspects of Cercano’s investment structuring, execution, valuation, reporting, treasury, and tax functions, paired with oversight of the firm’s information and technology strategy. Prior to joining Cercano, he served as the Head of Direct Structured Credit Finance for Castlelake, L.P. and held various oversight roles. Prior to Castlelake, Joel served in various leadership and managerial positions within finance and operations at MUFG Investor Services focused on fund administration and at Deloitte within the audit practice. He received his Master of Accountancy and BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a CPA.
