Goro was a very successful Venture Capitalist in the life sciences – a real pioneer in his time. Some of his most notable achievements took place at Sofinnova Ventures (CA) and during his 10 years at FinTech Global Capital. He was the first Japanese National to have been selected by the Kauffman Fellow Program. Goro founded Newton Biocapital together with Alain Parthoens in early 2017, before passing away unexpectedly in December 2018. He is sorely missed by many.
