Postdoctoral scholar in Stanford's Department of Neurosurgery and Neural Prosthetics Translational Laboratory; also publishes as Erin M. Kunz. Completed a Stanford PhD in electrical engineering, advised by Krishna Shenoy and Jaimie Henderson and co-advised by Scott Linderman. Works on machine learning and statistical models for BCI decoding, particularly speech and handwriting. Previously a controls engineer in automated and autonomous driving at General Motors. Co-first author of the 2023 Nature paper A high-performance speech neuroprosthesis.
