Else Charlotte Sandset

Else Charlotte Sandset is a consultant neurologist and the Chair of Stroke and General Neurology at Oslo University Hospital Ullevål. She chairs the Oslo Clinical Stroke Research Group and is a senior researcher in the Prehospital Acute Brain Programme with the Norwegian Air Ambulance Foundation and at the University of Oslo. Dr Sandset completed a post doctoral fellowship at the George Institute for Global Health (Sydney) and has been a visiting fellow at the University of Nottingham (UK). Her research focuses on acute stroke care—particularly blood pressure management and prehospital stroke pathways—and she contributes to international clinical trials. She is the past Secretary General of the European Stroke Organisation and has extensive editorial experience, including leadership roles with the European Stroke Journal and advisory/editorial boards for major neurology journals.
