Insight Partners source, reviewed October 8, 2026: David is a seasoned technology leader, educator and business advisor with over 30 years’ experience driving transformative change. His current focus is the “last mile” of enterprise AI, moving initiatives from pilot to production. David held senior executive positions at several Fortune 500 companies and was Head of Reinvent at T-Mobile, leading a companywide, cross-functional programme that formed the basis of the “Un-carrier” initiatives that reshaped the wireless industry. Today, David is Faculty Director of the AI Leadership Accelerator at UC Berkeley’s College of Engineering, where he focuses on AI implementation and executive education. He currently serves on Insight Partners’ FDE Advisory Council and designs and delivers executive workshops on AI for corporate senior leadership teams. He writes regularly on AI implementation topics including the rise of forward deployed engineering (FDE) as a response to the AI value gap. David holds a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Warwick and an MBA from The Henley Business School in London. He divides his time between the San Francisco Bay Area and the UK, giving him an active, on-the-ground perspective on AI adoption on both sides of the Atlantic.
