Andrea Meredith joined NINDS in November2024 to direct its Division of Extramural Activities. She coordinates grant-related operations, training, research quality and data/analytics functions. Previously a physiology professor at the University of Maryland, she investigated BK potassium channels and KCNMA1 channelopathy, connecting ion-channel function with neurological disease. Her own current leadership and staff pages establish the exact scientist; an unrelated similarly named association officer is excluded.
