Alessia Russo
Insight Partners source, reviewed October 8, 2026: Alessia focuses on investments in growth-stage software and technology companies as part of the Opportunities Fund. She helps evaluate new investment opportunities, conducts due diligence, and works closely with management teams on value creation initiatives. She is currently involved with investments in Rithum, SpryPoint, and Advantive, among others. Her expertise spans vertical software and data infrastructure across sectors ranging from e-commerce to utilities to manufacturing. Prior to joining the firm, Alessia was an investment banker in the M&A group at Evercore, one of the world's leading independent advisory firms, where she worked on multi-billion-dollar buy-side and sell-side transactions with Fortune 500 companies across technology, financial services, and insurance. Alessia regularly serves as a judge at investment and startup competitions at institutions including Yale, Cornell Tech, and NYU, as well as events such as the Venture Capital Investment Competition and the Florida Investment Conference. She was recognized on the Nova 111 List, an annual award highlighting Italy's most outstanding young professionals, in the Investments & Real Estate category. She serves on the Emerging Leaders Board of the Children's Medical Research Foundation and is a member of NYC Fintech Women, NYPEN, All Raise, and the Economic Club of New York. Alessia graduated from Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris with a dual bachelor's in Economics and Sociology and a minor in Finance and International Trade. Originally from Turin, Italy, she is fluent in English, French, Spanish, and Italian. Outside of work, Alessia enjoys hot yoga, scuba diving, and backpacking through national parks. When she's not training for the New York City Marathon, she's usually cooking or hunting down the best new restaurant in whatever city she happens to be in.
