Zoo builds CAD software and infrastructure for designing physical products. Zoo Design Studio combines conventional sketch-and-feature modeling, code-based modeling through the open-source KittyCAD Language (KCL), and natural-language design assistance from its Zookeeper AI agent. These interfaces operate on editable, parametric boundary-representation geometry rather than only producing visual meshes, letting engineers refine parts and preserve the design’s parameters and feature tree. Its GPU-based, cloud-hosted geometry engine and developer APIs support modeling, file conversion and AI-assisted design workflows in other applications. Founded and incubated by Embedded Ventures in 2021, the company changed its brand from KittyCAD to Zoo in December 2023; its current terms identify Zoo Corporation, based in Inglewood, California. KittyCAD remains a product and infrastructure name within the same company.
