Virdalis develops animal feed protein from Wolffia globosa, a fast-growing species of duckweed. Its cultivation system manages water and nutrients, and its farmer production model grows and harvests duckweed for processing into protein meal for feed manufacturers and livestock producers. The company aims to provide a locally produced alternative to imported feed protein such as soybean meal, using less agricultural land and supporting more resilient feed supply chains. Virdalis is based in Singapore with operating activities in the Philippines.
