Tolerance Bio
Tolerance Bio is a biotechnology company developing therapies that restore, preserve or modulate the thymus, the organ that trains immune T cells, to treat immune-mediated disease. Its research combines off-the-shelf induced pluripotent stem cell-derived thymic tissue with pharmacological and biologic approaches to immune tolerance and regeneration. Potential applications include autoimmunity, transplantation, cancer, infections, immune deficiencies and allergy. In 2026 it licensed the clinical-stage IL-7 fusion protein efineptakin alfa and anti-IL-33 antibody TLB-33 (formerly MT-2990) to expand its thymus-focused development pipeline. TLB-33 Phase 2 studies are planned for 2027. These are investigational programmes, with efficacy in the company’s proposed indications still under development.
