Solid IO
Solid IO develops patient-specific tumor-on-chip technology for immuno-oncology research and drug development. Its platform recreates a patient’s tumor microenvironment, including immune interactions, and combines these biological models with bioengineering and AI to study responses to immunotherapies and combination treatments. It serves pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, cancer researchers and clinical research partners seeking better preclinical models, biomarkers and patient stratification. The technology is currently for research use only; the company is validating it with partners and developing future clinical applications. Solid IO is a University of Helsinki spinout operating through Finnish company Solid Immuno-Oncology Oy.
