Regenera is developing SpinoSave, an investigational regenerative therapy for spinal-cord injury that combines a patient’s own adipose-derived cells with a biodegradable hydrogel. The material is designed to be placed locally during surgery to provide a supportive environment for repair after injury. Its development combines biomaterials, tissue engineering and cell therapy; published research and regulatory designations support clinical translation, without establishing marketing authorization or approved clinical efficacy. Regenera SA is the Lugano-based Swiss company in the Austrian–Swiss Regenera group, incorporated in 2021. Its parent’s published history says it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Regenera GmbH in July 2022. It participates in the group’s research and development and was incubated by the Università della Svizzera italiana Startup Centre. The Swiss company is legally distinct from the Austrian orphan-designation sponsor and direct ILUM investee.
