ROME Therapeutics
ROME Therapeutics developed medicines by studying repetitive, noncoding portions of the human genome. Its computational discovery platform identified disease-associated repeat elements and programs targeting LINE-1 reverse transcriptase, with applications in autoimmune disease, cancer and neurodegeneration. Its independent operations had wound down before January 2026, when it had become a wholly owned subsidiary of Pretzel Therapeutics, which continues access to its science and intellectual property.
