Progentos Therapeutics
Progentos Therapeutics is a neuroscience biotechnology company developing small-molecule medicines intended to regenerate myelin and address functional loss in multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating diseases. Its approach stimulates endogenous oligodendrocyte progenitor cells to form new oligodendrocytes and remyelinate nerve fibers. The programs are investigational; preclinical findings do not establish clinical benefit in patients. Co-founded by CEO Chris Loose and CSO Sanjay Magavi, the company has operations in Massachusetts and Naarden, the Netherlands, with a current contact address in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Paul Frohna became chief medical officer in October 2025; Andrew Miller chairs its board. Progentos launched publicly in May 2024 with a USD65 million Series A led by Forbion and joined by Alta Partners, Mission BioCapital, Longwood Fund and Dolby Family Ventures. Its current website names three management members and seven board members, with Chris Loose appearing in both groups.
