Prilenia Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing treatments for Huntington’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and other neurodegenerative disorders. Its lead candidate, pridopidine, is an orally administered sigma-1 receptor agonist designed to influence cellular pathways involved in neuronal function and survival. The company is evaluating pridopidine in the confirmatory Phase 3 PRECISE-HD and PREVAiLS trials. The medicine remains investigational and has not been approved. Prilenia also conducts earlier research into additional central nervous system indications and works with Ferrer on co-development and commercialization planning in Europe and selected international markets.
