Photoncycle
Photoncycle is a Norwegian energy technology company developing seasonal hydrogen storage for homes and businesses. Its system converts surplus renewable electricity into hydrogen, stores it underground in a solid state, and uses a reversible fuel cell to provide heat and electricity when solar production falls. It combines solar generation, long-duration storage and energy trading through a planned subscription model. The company is piloting its technology and preparing commercial deployment in Denmark and the Netherlands, with manufacturing expansion planned from 2027.
