Orbit Technologies
Charlestown, Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Orbit Technologies is the Boston-area neurotechnology company operating at orbit.engineering, whose research-participant website identifies the legal entity as Orbit Technologies, Inc. It also uses the Orbit Inc. and Orbit Technology brands. Steven Pang and Colton El-Habr founded the business in February 2023. Early work used ear-worn electrical vestibular stimulation to evoke movement sensations for games and virtual reality; these prototype descriptions and founder claims do not establish independent clinical efficacy. Its current company site presents a broader neuroscience mission, while its own research website describes non-invasive physiological studies using skin sensors and electrodes to measure heart rate, breathing and balance in adult volunteers. The participant website identifies independent WCG IRB review, explicitly distinguishes research from medical treatment, and says the investigational study device is not FDA approved. The current public team affiliations include founders Pang and El-Habr, neurotechnology contributor Mark Khrapko, Spencer Green, clinical-research and operations contributor Ariana Duverge, Wali Qureshi, and psychologist Tina Chou. Precise titles and employment status are qualified where the primary directory does not disclose them; Benjamin Vyshedskiy’s February–July 2026 recruiting role is historical. Orbit announced an oversubscribed USD500,000 pre-seed from Dune Ventures on 7 November 2023. University sources separately document a USD30,000 Bark Tank prize on 26 October 2023, a USD12,000 Johns Hopkins Fuel grand prize announced 21 December 2023 and the cohort’s USD5,000 stipend; these are awards rather than venture-equity checks. AGI House Ventures’ own investment portfolio explicitly links the exact orbit.engineering domain and classifies it as neuroscience, but does not disclose that manager’s financing date, stage, ticket or legal fund vehicle. The founders’ 2025 Thiel fellowships and Orbit-associated outward grant programmes are not company equity rounds. Later secondary fundraising and valuation claims lack sufficient primary corroboration and are not entered as priced financing. The company is distinct from the older developer-community SaaS Orbit with 2020 and 2021 Martin Casado financing records, from legacy Orbit semiconductor issuers, and from orbital-space or aerospace companies.
