OmniTier
OmniTier develops AI software, proprietary genomic-analysis algorithms and memory-accelerated computing appliances for precision-medicine research. Its on-premise CompStor platform covers secondary analysis of sequencing reads through variant calling, followed by annotation, prioritization and interpretation of genetic variants. CompStor Novos supports short- and long-read sequencing, while CompStor Insight provides variant interpretation and custom database workflows; CompStor Spectrum combines secondary and tertiary analysis in a standalone appliance. These systems let researchers, bioinformaticians and clinical organizations analyze exomes and whole genomes while retaining local control of patient data, supporting rare-disease research, population studies and pharmaceutical genomics. Founded in February 2015, the company is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Micron Ventures lists OmniTier as a portfolio investment, and OmniTier’s own site publishes Micron among its partners and investors.
