ONESTX

ONESTX (Olavide Neuron STX SL) is a Spanish biotechnology spin-off of Universidad Pablo de Olavide developing investigational drugs for neurodegenerative diseases. Its lead candidate LON-21 (STX64/irosustat) is an oral steroid sulfatase inhibitor designed to alter sulfated neurosteroid levels and restore protective signalling in the brain. Its development programme focuses on Huntington’s disease, with broader research into Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and age-related cognitive disorders. In March 2026 the company announced FDA orphan drug designation for Huntington’s and plans for a multicentre Phase IIa proof-of-concept trial, supported by a Series A financing still being finalised. The therapeutic benefits reported to date in these conditions are preclinical.
