Nucu
Nucu is a Finnish sleep-wellness technology company founded in 2016 in Oulu. Its current Sleep Tracker is designed for children and teens aged 4–18 and uses a contact-free sensor under a mattress topper or fitted sheet to measure breathing, heartbeat, movement and bedroom conditions. A bedside hub and companion app turn those signals into sleep trends and age-specific insights for families, without cameras or wearable devices. The company previously developed a multisensory baby pad combining sounds, vibrations and sensing with origins in neonatal-care research. Nucu describes its current consumer product as a wellness device for general information, rather than a medical device for diagnosing or treating disease.
