Novoroo Bioscience
Novoroo Bioscience is a Melbourne biotechnology company and wholly owned Australian subsidiary of Novoron Bioscience. Its Australian entity was registered in 2022 as Novoron Australia Pty Ltd and adopted the Novoroo name in April 2023. The company develops investigational therapies targeting low-density lipoprotein receptor biology, including LRP1, to address spinal cord injury, remyelination and neurodegenerative protein propagation. Its work combines structural biology, medicinal chemistry and preclinical research, with staff and collaborators in Melbourne, Hobart and San Diego. Travis Stiles serves as CEO, alongside directors Brett Drummond and Shawn Gahr and a scientific and research coordination team. In January 2026, the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and Spinal Research announced a $250,000 two-year grant to Novoroo for preclinical NOVO-120 studies addressing bladder dysfunction after spinal cord injury. The company also participates in an Australian collaborative research initiative on myelin repair led by the Menzies Institute for Medical Research.
