Neurolase

London medical-technology company developing a handheld surgical guidance system for brain-tumour operations. Its probe uses Raman spectroscopy and machine learning to classify molecular tissue signatures in real time, helping surgeons distinguish tumour tissue from healthy brain and assess tumour grade. The system is designed to provide visual and auditory guidance during resection without contacting or damaging the sampled tissue. Neurolase is developing its hardware and AI models toward further clinical validation and regulatory approval. Co-founders Monika Kott and consultant neurosurgeon Babar Vaqas combine commercial healthcare experience with clinical invention.
