UK biotechnology and medical-device company developing an implanted treatment for glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. Its ALIGHT device is designed to be placed in the surgical cavity after tumour removal and act as a decoy nerve, attracting and directing invasive cancer cells into a controlled location instead of letting them spread through healthy brain tissue. The company engineers fibre materials around cancer-cell migration, progressing from laboratory proof of concept toward device prototyping and preclinical validation.
