InfraScan
InfraScan develops and commercialises handheld near-infrared devices that screen head-injury patients for intracranial bleeding. Its Infrascanner compares light absorption on opposite sides of the head to identify suspected hematomas and help clinicians prioritise CT referral and neurosurgical assessment. The portable system is used in emergency care, intensive care, military and other settings where rapid brain-injury triage is needed. It is a screening tool with defined detection limits, rather than a replacement for diagnostic CT imaging.
