IVFmicro develops an oil-free microfluidic embryo-culture system for assisted reproduction. Its device uses controlled small volumes of nutrient-rich fluid to provide a stable environment around developing embryos, reduce repeated handling and minimise variation between laboratory operators. Designed to fit existing incubators and IVF workflows, the platform combines microfluidic engineering with reproductive biology and is being developed for human IVF and veterinary reproduction. The company is based at Nexus in Leeds and is conducting preclinical development, verification and validation; its published regulatory pathway concerns future FDA and CE clearance rather than confirmed approvals.
