Exciva
Exciva is a clinical-stage biotechnology company founded in 2016 in Heidelberg, Germany, developing therapies for neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia and other brain disorders. Its investigational lead drug Deraphan combines dextromethorphan with deramciclane to address agitation in Alzheimer’s disease dementia. Following Phase1 development, it began the Phase2/3 SERENADA trial in April2026. The company was founded by Anton Bespalov, Hans Moebius and Sreenivasarao (Rao) Vepachedu; its current CEO is François Conquet. Its programs remain investigational, with efficacy being evaluated in clinical trials.
