EarlySight develops retinal imaging hardware and AI analysis tools for ophthalmologists, clinical researchers and pharmaceutical companies. Its Cellularis platform combines adaptive optics with transscleral flood illumination to image retinal structures at cellular resolution, including pigment epithelial cells, photoreceptors and the retinal nerve fibre layer. The resulting images support investigation and monitoring of conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. The EPFL spinout also develops digital biomarker analysis and collaborates with RetinAI to connect its imaging to automated interpretation and longitudinal disease tracking.
