Clene Inc. (Nasdaq: CLNN) is a clinical-stage neuroscience and nanomedicine company developing catalytically active gold nanocrystals to improve cellular energy metabolism and neuronal function. Its wholly owned Clene Nanomedicine subsidiary develops CNM-Au8, an investigational oral suspension studied in ALS, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. As of the September 2026 issuer update, an ALS NDA under the accelerated approval pathway was planned; FDA acceptance and marketing approval had not been announced. A future confirmatory Phase 3 program remains planned, distinct from earlier completed clinical studies and expanded-access programs. The operating business was founded in 2013 and became publicly traded through its 2020 Tottenham SPAC combination. Headquarters are in Salt Lake City, with manufacturing and research in North East, Maryland. Current published leadership comprises 12 people and a nine-member board, with the CEO serving in both.
