Catalyst Therapeutics is an Australian drug-discovery investment and project-management company formed as a joint venture between the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and SYNthesis Research. It supports early translational research through chemical screening, medicinal chemistry, proof-of-concept funding and partnering or licensing. Its published projects include selective BET bromodomain inhibitors for cancer and inflammatory disease, a pseudokinase screening platform, and computational drug design combining AI, machine learning, molecular dynamics and quantum chemistry. Its wholly owned operating subsidiary, Anaxis Pharma, develops small molecules that modulate inflammatory cell death. Catalyst’s programs are research and drug-development projects; computational modelling is not quantum-computer hardware, and a licensing agreement does not imply medicine approval.
