Bobine
Bobine develops an electrified chemical-recycling process that converts hard-to-recycle plastic waste into olefins, including ethylene and propylene, for making new polymers. Its technology combines heterogeneous catalysis with electromagnetic induction to target chemical reactions without a conventional steam-cracking furnace. The process originated at ICPEES, a CNRS and University of Strasbourg laboratory, and is commercialised under an exclusive licence administered by SATT Conectus Alsace. Bobine is scaling from laboratory and continuous pilot operation with Michelin toward an industrial demonstrator and eventual licensed commercial units. It develops technology and process equipment for recycling and petrochemical manufacturers; commercial-scale deployment remains part of its development roadmap.
