Atlas AI develops geospatial AI software and data products that help organizations understand local socioeconomic conditions, detect changes and forecast demand across global markets. Its platform turns satellite imagery and other location data into analysis-ready geospatial features, production-scale models and developer tools for data scientists. The Aperture product family supports access to hyperlocal indicators and faster monitoring of changes, while applications include infrastructure planning, site selection, market segmentation, logistics, manufacturing forecasts and monitoring vulnerable communities. The company combines economics, earth science and machine learning to provide insights in regions where conventional data are sparse. Founded in 2018 as a public benefit corporation by Stanford researchers Marshall Burke, Stefano Ermon and David Lobell, it is backed by The Rockefeller Foundation, Airbus Ventures and Micron.
